Bio
Deron Hung is a music educator and multidisciplinary designer whose practice spans performance, teaching, and visual design. He performs and teaches the ocarina, flute, and guzheng, while also working across interior, visual, and jewellery design. Born in Singapore and raised primarily in Taiwan, Deron’s cross-cultural background has shaped his perspective across both music and design. His early training in interior design in Taiwan, where he completed a diploma-level qualification, developed his sensitivity to structure, balance, and material. These principles continue to inform his approach to both sound and visual work. After completing National Service in Singapore, he continued his studies at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), pursuing a diploma in music teaching. His current practice reflects a connection between disciplines, where musical understanding and design thinking coexist, with a focus on clarity, tone, and form.
